This silk brocade will be a replica of a 14th century textile found in Basilica of St. Mary in Gdańsk, Poland. It was made around 1350 in Lucca. This type of pattern was very popular since the 13th century. The motive shows typical signs of weaving in Lucca from the 2nd half of 14th century. For example, the earlier variation of this pattern with arabesques in tear-shaped medallions was replaced by the early gothic vine, which was a popular motive of the weaver in Lucca.
